How a racing suit should fit
Tight by design
Racing suits are meant to fit tighter than your training kit. The compression streamlines the body, supports the muscles and helps you move faster through the water — so a snug feel out of the water is exactly right.
Training & beginners: choose your regular size for a confident, comfortable race fit.
Racing & advanced: go 1–2 sizes down for stronger compression and a true competition feel.
How to measure
Grab a soft tape measure and keep it snug but not tight against the body. For the most accurate result, measure over bare skin or close-fitting underwear and stand relaxed. The kneeskin chart uses three measurements; the jammer chart uses waist only.
Chest
Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level under the arms.
Waist
Measure around the natural waistline — the narrowest part of the torso.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, with feet together.
If a swimmer falls between two sizes, use the fit guidance above: size up for a relaxed first-suit feel, or size down for race compression.
